AUSSIE AGENCY EDGE NAMED FINALIST IN 2012 CONTENT MARKETING ORANGE AWARDS

18 August 2012|Sydney

SYDNEY, 16 AUGUST 2012: Australia's leading strategic content marketing agency Edge helped put Australia on the content marketing map this week, being named a finalist in the prestigious 2012 Content Marketing Orange Awards in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.

The 2012 Orange Awards attracted 600 submissions, and Edge was named one of 15 agency finalists for the title 'Best Content Marketing Agency', which will be honored at Content Marketing World next month - the world's largest content marketing event.

The Orange Awards celebrate the best and brightest people, projects and organisations from around the world that are dedicated to the practice of content marketing. They are the only awards program that recognise individuals and companies, that are keeping the content marketing industry on the forefront of the content revolution.

Of the win, Edge CEO Eddie Thomas said: "The win is testimony to our great team of over 65 digital and print in-house experts, as well as our clients who entrust us with providing first-class content marketing strategies."

Edge clients include Woolworths, St.George, Foxtel, NAB, Carnival and BMW.

"In the last month, we have launched a story-sharing microsite for P&O Cruises, lodged impressive ROI with Australia Post on its new Business Lounge website and we've hit all our goals for the Woolworths new Baby and Toddler Club," said Thomas.

"Everyone is talking about content, but strategic content should be the goal. It provides an ongoing conversation and deeper engagement with customers rather than one-off event. It is the value in our work, and the work of other world-leading content marketing agencies recognised at the Orange Awards."

In other news, Edge is expanding and opening a new office in Perth this month. Edge has also been invited to launch Australia's first content marketing short-course with Australian Direct Marketing Association (ADMA), which is scheduled for October 5 (Sydney) and October 30 (Melbourne). The course will be delivered by internationally respected brand story-telling and content strategist Richard Parker, who recently relocated from the UK to lead the content revolution in Australia as Head of Digital at Edge.
