BEIJING, CHINA – July 26, 2012 – Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced the launch of Adobe® Digital Analyst Certification Training, designed for professionals with experience in digital analytics to extend their skills, formalise their training, and boost analytic competencies. It aims to help digital analysts, digital marketers and online decision-makers drive analysis, optimisation and monetary value from digital data and ensure alignment to business objectives. Upon completion of the training, program, graduates will receive Adobe certification which remains valid for two years.
The course, which Adobe believes may be the first formal certification program for digital marketing analytics designed and developed in Asia Pacific, addresses the high demand for face-to-face training and formal skills recognition in this region and globally. The interactive program was piloted in Australia and launched today at the Adobe Digital Marketing Symposium in Beijing, China.
Marc Gagne, Adobe’s Senior Director Digital Marketing, Asia Pacific said: “With explosive growth in digital practices including social media, e-retail, search engine marketing, the demand for analytic and technical skills is outpacing the availability of qualified practitioners. We hope to establish this certification program as an industry standard, widely recognised as certification that demonstrates the holder has mastered the art and science of aligning data, strategy and action with key business performance indicators.”
After identifying the need for the program through customer research, Adobe’s Australian team worked with consultants around the world to ascertain skills gaps within this field, developing the course content through its extensive expertise. The first pilot program was conducted in May this year with participants from Adobe customer Suncorp Ban, in Australia. It received positive feedback from across Suncorp, with participants saying it helped them feel more confident about working with data, evaluating and measuring results, and applying those learning to strategy.

The Adobe Digital Analyst Certification Training is a rigorous, five-day course, comprising theory and practical sessions, and concludes with a test. The course is currently priced at US$4,500 per participant. The program is scheduled to launch in Sydney on 27 August 2012, Melbourne on 3 September 2012 and Auckland on 10 September 2012. Program launch dates across AsiaNorth America and EMEA are to be announced.
