AUSTRALIAN TV-MAKERS PIONEERING THE FUTURE OF TV

Melbourne-based Dark Heart Productions is attempting to break new ground in the TV industry - create a TV series, entirely independently and solely based on audience support.

DHP has partnered with Mobcaster, the world's first crowd-funded television channel to raise the money to produce the first season of its comedy series, The Weatherman.

The Weatherman is an hysterical half-hour TV comedy starring the talented Robert Grubb. You can watch the complete pilot episode here mobcaster.com/project/the-weatherman. The show is currently in funding to produce the rest of its first season (5 more episodes).

The Weatherman must reach its goal of $72,000 before the fund-raise period expires or they won't receive anything and none of the funders are charged! They are well on their way with over $28,000 pledged, but need all the Australian support they can get to reach their goal in the next 19 days, and make a name for Australian content and creators on an international stage.

If they reach their goal, the full first season will be produced and broadcast on Mobcaster's online TV channel for a global audience. In exchange for their contribution, funders will get some great rewards and will have the opportunity to see more of this funny Australian sitcom.
