About the Program
AIMIA and TressCox Lawyers have established the Duty Solicitor Program which provides AIMIA Business, Associate and Corporate Members with access to a solicitor for a free 20 minute telephone consultation.
The Aim of the Program
The Program will provide AIMIA Members with easy access to legal advice from solicitors with expertise in the legal areas that affect our industry, and is specifically designed to assist Members in the effective management and growth of their businesses. The Program aims to assist members with recurring legal questions as well as to alert them to any substantial legal issues and advise on how those issues may be resolved.

HOW IT WORKS
AIMIA Business, Associate and Corporate can register for this service via the form below. The member will then receive a confirmation email including a referral number to contact the TressCox Duty Solicitor.
The Member may then telephone the Duty Solicitor, quote the referral number, and request advice.
Should the matter not fall within the Duty Solicitor’s area of expertise, the Duty Solicitor will refer the matter to another solicitor in the firm with the requisite expertise. That solicitor will then call the station for a free consultation.
To contact the duty solicitor, simply:
1. Complete the registration form below. Within one working day you will receive an email containing your referral number and contact details for the Duty Solicitor at TressCox Lawyers.
2. Telephone TressCox Lawyers on the details provided.
3. Quote your referral number to the Duty Solicitor for your free 20 minute telephone consultation.
4. The Duty Solicitor will keep a confidential record of the consultation for future reference.
The Consultation
AIMIA Members are entitled to receive free legal advice by telephone for 20 minutes. After the initial consultation it is up to the Member to decide wether to pursue the matter further.
If the Member decides to instruct TressCox to provide further advice, then the Member (and not AIMIA) will be responsible for future legal costs. TressCox will provide the Member with an estimate of the likely legal costs to be incurred if further consultation is requested by the Member.
Confidentiality and Conflicts
The Duty Solicitor will not disclose any information regarding the Member’s enquiry and will keep all advice strictly confidential. In some instances TressCox may be prevented from providing advice under the program, if there is a conflict of interest with one of their existing clients, or other AIMIA Members.
