AIMIA's membership represents the full spectrum of the digital media industry in Australia. Our members range from Australia's top digital media powerhouses, including the ABC, Sensis, Yahoo!, Google, BigPond, Foxtel, Disney, ninemsn and Fairfax Digital, to the country's best known interactive advertising, mobile content, web development, games design, and special effects companies. Members include developers, creators, producers, investors, service providers, educational institutions and students. As an AIMIA Member you're in good company.
There are many benefits of being an AIMIA member. As the peak body for the Digital Media in Australia we are constantly seeking to ensure that we deliver an array of initiatives and services that help you grow your business, along with the entirety of the industry.
WHY JOIN AIMIA?
In many respects AIMIA is a typical industry body. We exist to help our members grow their businesses and promote the overall digital industry to the broader community, businesses and consumers alike. We offer education and training, develop standards, offer discounted or free services like business insurance and legal advice, create networking opportunities and hold Awards to recognise and celebrate excellence in the digital industry. However there’s a lot more to AIMIA than this. We like to paraphrase John F. Kennedy’s inauguration address and say that it’s not just what AIMIA can do for you; it’s what you can do with AIMIA. We have created and constantly maintain a growing network of companies and individuals that all have one thing in common. They are all involved in digital in one way or another and all want to help the industry grow and mature for the benefit of industry participants and customers alike.
AIMIA’s activities and initiatives are driven by our members. AIMIA membership contributions allow us to provide the professional support and the infrastructure for all the volunteers who are busy making a difference to the growth of the digital industry in Australia. . We also actively seek year-round financial Patrons and sponsorship for individual activities. The more funds we receive, the more we support our membership. As a not-for-profit (or as we prefer to describe it, “not-for-loss”) organisation, our funds directly benefit our members in the form of competitive fees and better products, services and support for our members in their efforts to grow the industry.
