Accelerate your Business through Partnerships and Joint Ventures
Size matters. Grow your business.

Is your growth strategy realistic or just wishful thinking? Most entrepreneurs and companies do not have a plan to grow their business, and therefore miss out on significant opportunities.

Funding growth organically is a slow process. Approaching a growth strategy on your own, without partnering or leveraging through large organisations, is a sure fire way to remain small. Strategic partnerships accelerate growth. Fast.

AIMIA and VentureOne is proud to bring you this timely workshop to help fuel your growth plans for 2012. About your workshop leader, Matt Costello

Matt Costello is a successful entrepreneur, board member and investor in the digital sector. He’s taken on many roles from start-up to exit, capital raising and M&A, and is well versed in building successful and profitable companies.

Matt and two founding partners boot-strapped 5th Finger in 1999 which grew into the leading Australian mobile marketing service provider with revenues in excess of $10m and over 20 staff, within five years. He then worked on the exit strategy resulting in multiple offers from leading media companies and the final transaction with ninemsn in November 2005, delivering significant returns to staff and shareholders.

At ninemsn, Matt developed the mobile advertising commercial proposition and managed the mobile advertising sales team. He currently sits on the board of directors for 5th International Group (5i) which now has offices in New York and San Francisco, and clients including GlaxoSmithKline, Victoria's Secret and Safeway.

While Matt has had over 20 years in sales and marketing, he combines the practical with a robust theoretical framework, having recently completed an MBA focusing on entrepreneurial and new business management and financing. He has an enthusiasm for bringing new technologies to market and then commercialising them.

Matt Costello joined the Newport Capital, a leading IT industry corporate advisory and investment banking firms as Director of Digital Practice in early 2011. Over the last 5 years he has raised over $20m in equity finance for various ventures. His previous project, Anittel, involved the acquisition of over 10 businesses within a 12 month period in an IT&T roll-up. As Strategy Director, Matt was responsible for developing the strategic plans and then executing those plans leading the M&A team.

Matt has extensive speaking experience over the years with AIMIA, Mobile Monday and other industry specific conferences and has written for several trade press titles.
