AIMIA Victoria is the state chapter of the Australian Interactive Media Industry. We have, over the years, developed a resilient and vibrant sector organization made up of dedicated individuals from various sectors of the Australian digital industry. With many years of collective experience, our president and committee are dedicated to growing the outreach and work that we are conducting, both in Victoria and as a directive for national interests for AIMIA.
Our focus is on nurturing Victorian creative and entrepreneurial excellence, and in supporting interactive media practitioners, students, start-ups, businesses, initiatives and organisations in our state. Working towards furthering economic growth in the already vibrant and active Victorian interactive media industry, AIMIA Victoria also plays an important role as a conduit between the interactive media industry and business, media, education, government, other industries and the general public.
Our Goals:
• to foster Victoria’s reputation as the hub of interactive media innovation in Australia
• to contribute to the growth and ongoing economic viability of the industry
• to raise the profile of Victoria’s interactive media industry and represent it to business, media, education, government, the public and the rest of the nation.
Our Services:
• to provide topical, relevant and forward-thinking events and networking opportunities
• to provide in-kind and financial contribution to industry events and initiatives
• to promote industry by acting as go-to body for media, business, public, education and government
• to lobby state government on issues relevant to the industry
• to facilitate internships, mentorships and training
AIMIA Victoria is the presenting sponsor for the annual V21 Conference, first launched in 2009. Designed to bring together the digital media industry and its clients to help develop and better understand opportunities that digital media can bring to business, V21 is an annual event that is continuing to gain interest, momentum and growth with each year.
