- To develop an internationally competitive new media industry in Australia
- To promote a wider understanding of the benefits of interactive media

- To encourage and facilitate the professional development of interactive media industry participants
- To develop and manage a comprehensive business referral service
- To provide a forum for the exchange of information amongst members
