I have been involved in the digital space since 1993, have been a member of AIMIA since 1998 and have been actively involved with AIMIA since 2004.
In that time I have helped AIMIA set and maintain its direction and have played a key role in helping to establish AIMIA as the peak industry body for interactive content and digital media in Australia. As the former Vice President, along with the President, CEO and the national executive, I have helped guide AIMIA into its current position of stability.
I am one of the few Victorian board members and I represent the largest sector of the AIMIA membership base. My main areas of focus have specifically been Membership, Awards, Marketing and The AIMIA brand. All which are at the healthiest in AIMIA’s existence. Last year and again this year I have been selected as the Australian representative for the World Summit Awards, whilst also participating in the Digital Economy forum aimed at assisting the Department of Broadband, Communication and the Digital Economy to provide a roadmap for industry and government to maximise Australia’s online participation. We are well on our way to achieving our plan and by continuing to focus on these areas, I will ensure that AIMIA continues to support and thrive alongside our industry for the future.
Outside of my AIMIA duties I founded WeAreDigital in August 2009 after acquiring back the digital business I co-founded in 1998 – Spin New Media – from Bluefreeway.
I have 17 years’ experience in using digital to connect business and brands with their customers and to produce commercial outcomes. My specific expertise lays in digital strategy, ideation, internet retailing, multi channel strategy, customer engagement, digital marketing and social media.
I have been responsible for numerous award-winning projects, in the aid of shaping digital strategies for major clients such as Carlton United Breweries, Coca-Cola, Nike, Xbox, the Walt Disney Company, eBay, Microsoft, Pulse Pharmacy, Streets, Telstra Media, BigPond, AFL, Mimco, Leejeans and Foot Locker.
